Please join the GREATER women of the Beta Lambda Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. in congratulating Soror Miriam K. Melvin on earning her third and fourth Emmy Awards.
Soror Melvin, a producer at WRAL-TV 5 in Raleigh, NC, received the honors at the 40th Annual MidSouth Emmy Awards in Nashville, Tennessee. She won in the category of Breaking Spot News (Single Report) for her powerful coverage during continuing hurricane reporting, highlighting the rescue of four children caught in a rushing creek.
She also earned an additional Emmy for her coverage of a deadly shooting in North Carolina Hills at Coquetee, demonstrating her commitment to delivering timely, impactful reporting during critical moments in our communities.
