Join the Beta Lambda Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. for a Virtual Suicide Awareness and Prevention Forum featuring Mental Health professionals.
Guest speakers are Javonte' Bass, LCMHC, owner of Let's Cope Counseling Services, and Anthony Tyre, LCMHC, LCASA, NCC, Founder and Executive Director of the Eastern Community Care Foundation and Clear Point.
This year we are focusing on taking care of SELF first, so you will be able to take care of others. The pandemic has taken a toll on many parents and caregivers. Those of us with young children must be mindful that they are very impressionable and when they see us sad, worried, or anxious...they too may begin to feel this way. Recognizing signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety is not always easy to do when it comes to oneself until it is too late.
Join us for an honest discussion about suicide and why self care is so important. There will be two group breakout sessions (one for women only and one for men only), then 30-45 minutes for the group to come back together for additional Q&A.
