MYTH #4- 16 & 17 year olds cannot pre-register to vote
To vote you must be at least 18 years of age at the time of voting, however 16 & 17-year-olds can pre-register to vote in elections. A 17-year-old may vote in primary elections if they will be 18 at the time of the general election. Source:https://www.ncsbe.gov/registering/who-can-register
